Animal Prints - Purrrrrrr-fectly Coordinated

Today we take a look at the animal print and its style potential. Cheetah, Zebra stripes, and Tiger stripes are probably the most popular prints, shoes and dresses the most popular garments, and bangles the most popular jewelry form. When wearing an animal print consider this carefully: Too much of a good thing is not a good thing. A bold print stands out on its own, so it only needs accompaniment and accessories. Wearing an entire ensemble of tiger stripes would literally be overkill. The last thing you want is to look like the animal that you are wearing.

Check out these Vera Wang cheetah print booties and how to style them in three looks: casual, work, and evening. It’s as stylish and easy as 1, 2, 3…

Beginning from the left:

#1 ‘Casually Sophisticated’ – Here we have a look that is suited for Saturday. Deep indigo colored skinny jeans are a staple in every woman’s wardrobe, and are paired here with a button down top in a very feminine cut. Details such as the low first button stance providing a wide open collar present an air of confidence, and the rich yellow color is the perfect tone to balance the golden palette of the print in the shoes. Top it off with a hat, hot bag, and a few accessories, and there is nothing Saturday can do for you that you can’t do for Saturday.

TIP: The untucked top, and the jeans tucked inside the shoes, helps balance out your figure.

#2 ‘Rock on the Clock’ – When the elegance of this skirt meets the ease of this shirt, great style is the end result. The skirt has a single pleat, which is just enough detail, and the brown belt is the perfect adornment to tie this look together. Dress up that denim shirt with a long red skirt, and go to work.

TIP: You can also wear a fitted denim top, tuck it into the skirt, and wear the belt lower on the waist.

#3 ‘Ladies Night’ – This look is all about attention, and you will get plenty of it. The leather skirt is pleated but short, so it doesn’t compete with the drama of the fact that you’re wearing cheetah print booties. The sweater might seem unassuming at first, but the neckline exposes the shoulders for a sense of wow here, too. Add the scarf and hat, accessorize accordingly and…oh, what a night there is to be had.

TIP: Want to add even more theatrics to this look? Consider adding patterned stockings to the mix.

So, there you have it. Three ways to wear those animal print shoes that you have had your eyes on for a while. Well don’t just sit there, go buy some shoes!!!
